About Blocker & Associates
Blocker & Associates was re-created in 2001 by Niccole Blocker after the death of her father, Jerry Blocker, president of Jerry Blocker Enterprises. We are a second-generation public relations and marketing professional firm. Jerry Blocker was a legend. The first African American man to anchor a local television news program, Blocker's silky smooth voice was a fixture in the Motor City for nearly 50 years. He was the very first African-American television anchorman in the state, well-established at WDIV-TV, Channel 4 in the 1960s.

In order to build upon her father's name and to enhance the base developed by him, she has invited DeAmo Murphy, a political strategist and Lloyd L. Banks, III, who specializes in executive positioning. As a result of this synergy, Blocker & Associates brings more than 25+ years of political-campaign-management and public-relations experience to its client base.
Blocker & Associates provides a strong identity throughout the African-American community. The Blocker name also opens doors within the media outlets of the tri-county area. Niccole Blocker absorbed her father's work ethic, knowledge of resources, and unusual ability to engage people and to form long-standing relationships. Today, Niccole has a new vision: To build a firm whose tentacles will reach to wider areas and audiences. Together with the our teams knowledge and experience Blocker & Associates will be a major player in the political process.
